My Wedding Photography Philosophy

You have been dreaming about this day for some time now. So have I. My team and I are experts in the business of preserving memories.

Since 1992 I have been capturing the love and beauty of weddings.

My approach to wedding photography is to document your day as it naturally unfolds. I use a second photographer, and between the two of us we are able to stay with both the bride and groom throughout the day.

My style is part photojournalist, part traditional, and entirely enthusiastic! I do minimal posing, so nothing looks stiff or staged. I want you to look good, so I will make suggestions based on lighting and using the available area.

Be prepared, we will shoot non-stop!

We generally will shoot over 2,000 frames during a wedding day. I agree, that is a lot, so I will edit those down to the best 500 or so images. (The cream-of-the-crop, so to speak.)

I like to say "if you've made it, rented it, bought it or borrowed it, I'll take a picture of it."

There are so many details, so much happening, that it is quite easy for us to shoot a few thousand frames. What this means for you is that we won't miss a momement of your wedding day. You'll be so busy with visiting and hugging and dancing and celebrating the day will be a whirlwind. You'll be grateful we took so many photos of what everything looked like. (At least that's what nearly every bride tells me.)

After you return from your honeymoon, (or about two weeks after your wedding), I'll invite you over to have a 'viewing party' to see your photos. I take your pictures and create a slideshow set to music. You can invite whomever you want and we'll watch the photos on our big screen. I'll make popcorn, and some couples bring champagne or wine. It takes about 40 minutes to watch 500 photos. It is a great time and you'll love it!

This presentation is available in a DVD so that you can watch it again and again, and share it with your friends and family.

Next, all of your photos will be posted on our website for your friends and family to look at and order. They will be posted for 60 days for free following your wedding.

A final way to see all of your photos is to get a Preview Magazine. This oversized album is spiral-bound with a frosted cover, has 12 images per page with the file-numbers of each photo printed underneath for easy reference.

Meanwhile, one of our designers will be working hard creating your Wedding Story Album. When it is ready you'll have the option of making edits and changes to suit your personal style. You'll get to choose the dimensions and the number of pages for your album, as well as the color of the cover.

You can also get smaller clone albums as gifts for your parents and special friends.

When we deliver your album(s) we will also give you the Image Disc containing your wedding photographs, as well as permission to make your own prints. The images on the disc are like 'negatives'. In otherwords, they are straight out of the camera without any enhancements like toning, cropping or airbrushing.

Your wedding collection will include some credit so that you can get an album, some prints and products. And you will have the peace-of-mind that comes with having the Image Disc.

Even though I have photographed famous people and been published on the covers of magazines, nothing gives me more satisfaction than shooting weddings. I doubt many people are saving an old issue of a wedding magazine, but I know you'll save your wedding photographs!

Not only are these photos important to you, one day they will be important to your kids. And one day after that they will be important to your grandkids.

Pictures as valuable as these are priceless, which is why I care so much about wedding photography. I look forward to photographing yours.
